Monday 4.07.05
Huge wheels of heavy military trucks start to move the third day finally and a small square in front of headquarters disappeares in a blue smoke. In spite of the cloudy sky and relatively strong wind blowing from the north side organisers decide to carry all pilots up to the ridge of the height of 1000 meters and the north taking off area is crowded shortly past noon.

"English grass, English weather," British pilots can't believe and shake their heads observing a cloudy sky and cloudbases just 50 meters above the taking off point. In spite of this organisers prepare 48km long discipline towards the southwest to the first turning point Korvingrad and in the direction of Leskovac then.

But the weather doesn't improve at all and it's not possible to soar above a slope in a fading wind. The first pilot vanishes down in a valley ten to three and nobody else wants to follow him evidently.

"The weather forecast seems to be much better for tomorrow - a clear sky, maybe blue," the director Xavier Murillo promises at half past three and claims free flying for today, exactly said free flights down to the landing zone. But clouds begin to melt quickly half an hour later and several pilots succeeded in finding weak thermals and rise above the taking off point. We can hope the weather works out tomorrow and the next day will bring the first task and the first results as well.
