According to the organizers and the weather forecast, today should be a free day. A front is supposed to cross Slovenia bringing mid-morning storms. At eight o'clock in the morning, there are still no signs though.

After the morning specification of the weather situation and a prolonged discussion it is in the end decided to go up to the starting ground and announce a quick, short discipline. The first storms should appear around 16:00.

The discipline announced today is 32km long and leads over four turning points with a goal at the stadium in Tolmin. The start window is open from 12:00 to 13:00, but what turns out to be more interesting is that the results of today's discipline turn out to be fateful for many racers. Everyone must land by 14:30 at the latest, regardless of where they are at that time, though ideally at the goal.

The racers rush and already 15 minutes after the opening of the start window, the first group of nine pilots rises high above Kobala and heads West.

The risers are, however, noticeably weaker today than yesterday and the ceilings reach to only 1800 to 1900m above sea level. Time quickly assumes the most important role on the route. Landing after the time limit means loss of today's points, even if the pilot were to land at the goal.

The Slovenian duo of Andrej Erznožnik and Matej Jocif come in first at the goal in today's discipline. They land with a good 20 minute reserve to the time limit. Within this time 19 others manage to land at the stadium, among which are Tomáš Brauner, Radek Večeřa, Evžen Hollmann, Mirek "Radar" Stěhula, Karel Vrbenský a Radek Krampl. Ondřej Dupal and Tonda Pallas, have unbelievably bad luck, when they land hardly a minute after the limit, just as do Petr Kuhn and Martina Černá.

Dalibor Carbol, who after a tight flight through the trees manages to land on the basketball court, performs a heart-stopping glide in to the goal. Tomáš Hrabal lands 300 meters in front of the stadium, and approximately 1.5km in front of the stadium, Mirek Varvařovský and Radek "Kuzmou" Boček meet up by the cemetery. An extreme fear of blowing the time limit forces Karel Vejchodsky to send his machine to ground about 5km before the goal, so fast that upon landing he still has 20 minutes until time is up.
The biggest surprise, however, is the late landing of the race leader, in the overall placing, Jurij Vidic and because the German Norman Lausch is at the goal almost three minutes before the limit, the overall placing for the whole race changes immediately. Very unfavorably for our Czech pilots, though.
