"It's enough here," some pilot gasps only 20 vertical meters above an arrivals road and refuses to climb higher to a taking off point today. The sky is as clear as yesterday and light wind blows from the southeast side at a taking off zone. Two pre-flyers takes off before eleven already and they start to rise up above the east slope of Monte Cornizzolo in ten minutes.

"Czechs warn all pilots not to eat a cover of the salami which is sliced inside lunch packets," organizers claim bad experiences of Czech gluttons who don't taste the cover of Italian salami surpisingly. In view of excellent thermal conditions 110km long task is declared speedily and it spans five turning points around Monte Cornizzolo. That means that pilots will fly over the taking off point twice or three times, depending on the tactic of flying from the first turning point to the second one.

Two hours long starting window is open at one o'clock and because of half an hour lag to the aerial start opening the whole racing field takes off immediately and more then 100 pilots turn a lift high above the taking off point 15 minutes later.

Despite a strong thermal activity up to height of 2200 meters above sea level the bigest problem of today's task is the west wind which becomes stronger gradually and thus flying across the large valley on the third leg of the route is very difficult.

The first pilot in the goal is Michael Witschi from Switzerland at 5.39 p.m. and he becomes a winner of today's task. Next Swiss pilot Christian Maurer arrives shortly behind him and Stefan Wyss from Switzerland reaches the goal seven minutes later. Totally 33 competitors succeeded in reaching the goal finally.

Michael Witschi from Switzerland is the first now in a total ranking of this competition, Tomas Brauner from Czech Republic is the second and Czech pilot Martin Orlik moved to the third position after this day.

Petra Krausova from Czech Republic increased her leading in this competition after today's successful reaching the goal but the total ranking of Paragliding World Cup 2005 leads always Ewa Wisnierska from Germany.
