Day 5 (August 21)
    The task has been won by Oleg Bondarchuk followed by Robert Reisinger at 22 seconds and by Manfred at 32 seconds of distance. The first 4 Italians at goal are Christian (7th place at 1'56) followed by Tullio (25th place), Alex (27th) and Filippo (40th) who arrives after sunset. Davide lands after 117km and Federico after 100km. We gain a few points on the French team but lose some points on the Brazilian and Austrian team who are now on the 4th place.

    I remember this day very well because at ± 30km from goal I was already a little bit behind the leading gaggle, but I had chosen a different course line and took a 18/1 final glide calculation from the last thermal. With this risky decision I was able to overtake a lot of pilots in front of me. Only Oleg and Robert remained in front of me.
