    The morning is despite of the expectations, windy and rainy, which is in accordance with pilot's relatively small attendance on the briefing at 11:00 on the top of the Straník. The decision about this day is therefore -just in case- delayed for 12:00. Yet in the following half-hour it turned out that the task will be no doubt flown today. The amount of clouds is gradually breaking up, the wind is weakening and the sun is beginning to shine.



    At 12.30 is Palo Vavro announcing exactly the same discipline as yesterday, except for the fact that the closing of a launching window is today rearranged to 15:30. Right after the opening of the launching window is Karel Hubl getting in the air, quickly followed by Juraj Kleja, Pavel Iker and others. As it will turn out later, it was the best interval of the day, and in 15 minutes there is a group of eight pilots turning the ceiling in the altitude of approximately 1200 m and than they fly north to the first turning point inn the village of Lodno. Shortly after is the southeast wind getting stronger again and there is a first shower appearing behind Žilina. And whilst light girls are uncompromisingly shaken by wind over the launch, Hanka Matyásková has got the extra privilege, as her parents are quietly pushing her up. And of course, all the heavy guys with Michal Čierny at the first place are very satisfied.

    While is the rest of the competitive field keeping up at about 100 m above the launch, there is another shower forming in the direction of today's skyway; near Kysucké Nové Mesto. At 13:30 is starting to rain at Straník as well and those who have got enough height are heading back to launch. Mass stampede before the rain is than being performed, everyone running into the hangar.

    "I am such a Euro-dick, I should have launched earlier!" admits one of the Slovakian pilots self-critically later. The issue is, if any of the competitors, stuck somewhere in the fields before Krásno, not having a roof over their head and getting wet necks, is saying a similar thing to himself. Half an hour later sun shines again and at 14:05 is a second wave of competitors starting off.



    In fifteen minutes there is a small group of pilots trying to depart to the skyway, but it's not sure at the moment if it's because of the desire to get points or because of the fear. Anyway, there is a storm coming quickly from the south and it's pouring down with rain. At 14:40 is Palo Vavro forced to call of the today's task and over the desire to get points immediately wins feeling like gnocchi with bryndza, steaks, beer and goulash. Moreover there is a match of Slovakian hockey players against Denmark starting at five ...!
