"Men don't understand women, women don't understand men. And this is the matter which neither man nor women will ever understand. A speaker Petr Novotny tells his morning wisdoms to breakfast and gorgeous summer weather reigns outside windows of Pension Kukacka again. The outside thermometer indicates 20°C at nine in the morning and in view of a light southwest wind and the last task but one will start on Medvedin.

"I feel much better today," says Louise Burnham, who can't get used to Czech amount of alcohol and closes a book Anna Karenina by Lev Nikolay Tolstoy for a while. I try to find Russian letters on the cover of the book in vain, I can see just ordinary English. But I hurry straight away to have a look at Mads Syndergaard, who works here as an observer of the Paragliding World Cup Association. Maybe he is reading The Inspector by Gogol now.

The longest task of this competition zig-zag above Krkonose mountains is declared at briefing then. The task is 51 kilometers long and a 400m circle round Stoh hill represents a starting point today. The next turning points are Lysa hora, Cerna hora and Strazne. The goal will be prepared at Svaty Petr, the same point as in the first discipline.

"Window is open!" cries the organizer fifteen past noon and Honza Habermann takes off as the first immediately. He begins to rise up on the east side of the hill a couple of minutes later and the others join him quickly. Eighteen pilots turn the first cloudless lift high above Medvedin half an hour later and fly away towards the starting point.

 It's toooo muuuch!

Frantisek Pavlousek has a trouble with his right bracket

 Petra Krausova in a lift

"I tried to unknot it but I didn't succeeded," explains Frantisek Pavlousek his surprise landing back to the taking off zone among the last four ready pilots and begins to repair his right bracket directly.

Meanwhile Honza Habermann in the lead of the racing field turns a strong lift 7m/s to a height of 2300m above Kozi hrbety and begins to see himself in the goal already. Sadly, he is forced to land on the last leg of the route four kilometers before a reaching the goal. The third leg of today's route between Lysa hora and Strazny proves to be fateful for six pilots. Unfortunately, Karel Vrbensky belongs to them too though he was sitting pretty on the third position of the overall ranking this morning.

Fourteen competitiors arrive to the goal under Plane step by step. Petra Krausova reaches the best time and thus becomes a winner of today's discipline. The second Mads Syndergaard is a couple of minutes later, the third Jan Kupka as well. Petra Karusova swapped her position in the overall ranking with Karel Vrbensky who was eliminated from the first trio by that. But there are no changes on the first two positions at all after this day.

"The wine is really nice, bring also some water to have enough wine for everybody," an unnamed pilot from Usti expresses his superfluous fears during an evening barbecue party behind a restaurant "Pod Jasany" and he doesn't intend to watch a striptease in "Dolska Felicity" in a centre of Spindleruv Mlyn after the fourth bottle of wine, even if he has a ticket free in his pocket since noon and all pilots as well. No surprise, he left his best years behind already.
