Monday 07.08.06
Non of pilots receives any message from organisers after morning waking up and it means perhaps we will fly. Even if the sky is overcast and the sun peeps only ocasionally. Small blue windows in the sky closed completely at the same moment we got in a cableway car. Achim Joss claims he lives out "dejá-vu".

Today's briefing will go ahead at 11 a.m. in Kühboden station at a height of 2212 meters above sea level below Eggishorn peak which loomes 700 meters above the station. Because the taking off area is covered with clouds, we are heading for the restaurant to taste the real hot Swiss chocolate. Sadly, no charming view can be seen and we have a look just at the first pylon of the cableway. A discussion about possibilities of landing and low hanging cables close to the landing zone starts during the way up. Flying under the cables is strictly prohibited!

 Landing

The part of Czech team, which took part in The Czech Championship in Italy, dreams about those hot days when T-shirt was enough in the air. Pilots wear ski caps now. Even hardy Milky cows had to put on warm clothes (see the picture). Not only Czech team was affected by wounds, George Blondoo and Franky Braun have a bad luck too. Greg put his hand into a rotating propeller by mistake and after ten days he registered himself in the competition although his hand was broken and fixed in a special brace.

Eventually, the task was declared today but it was cancelled soon because of the huge difference of pressure between the southern and northern side of The Alps. "It would be too danger when a blue window appeared above the taking off point," David Ohlidal judges the situation. Loads of pilots took advantage of free flights today. There made some holes in the cloudy sky around 2 p.m. and strong wind started to blow shortly after that.
